Dee Sapper has been a fiber artist for 20 years. A Colorado native, her designs are inspired by nature and ethnic art. Each scarf is individually hand painted. A white silk scarf is stretched on a frame and the design is drawn on with resist. Liquid dyes are painted on with a brush. After the dyes are heat set in a fabric steamer the scarf is washed and dry cleaned, removing excess resist and dye. <= back to Sapper |
